Greenwood Cemetery is the final resting place of:

  • 7 governors
  • 14 mayors
  • 8 judges (6 of whom where Supreme Court judges)
  • 24 clergymen
  • 6 Confederate generals

Mynelle Gardens

The purpose of this organization shall be to render support and assistance to the management and staff of Mynelle Gardens; to restore the gardens to the level of excellence originally visualized by Mrs. Hayward; to improve the quality of the cultural and social environment of our city through horticultural activities; and to develop programs at Mynelle Gardens with an educational purpose and to generate financial support for the gardens activities and development.

The Westbrook House which is located on the premises was recently renovated.  During fall 2003, the city renovated the exterior of the Westbrook House.  Currently, the city is in the process of restoring the interior as well.
