CDBG Limited Repair Program
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded the City of Jackson's Office of Housing and Community Development over $1.3 million to identify and mitigate lead-based paint and other housing and health hazards in low-income homes at significant risk for exposure. The Lead Safe Jackson Housing Program enables eligible low-and-moderate income homeowners in the City of Jackson to make repairs and improvements to their homes to provide a lead safe home environment for young children.
The city will address and remediate lead-based paint and other housing related health hazards in a total of 77 eligible low-income units in the city.
