Ward 1

Ashby Foote graduated from Clinton High School in 1969 and went on to graduate from the United States Military Academy (West Point) in 1974. After 5 plus years in the Army Field Artillery he resigned from active duty and returned to Jackson to work in the investment field. Foote served in the Army Reserves from 1986 through 1993. Foote’s civilian career began as a stock broker with McLarty & Duddleston and then at Sunburst Bank as a Trust Investment Officer. Since 1988, Ashby Foote has served as founder, President and Chief Investment Officer at Vector Money Management.

In the non-profit arena Ashby Foote is a member of the Investment Committee for West Point’s Association of Graduates and he serves on the Board of Directors of Innovate Mississippi and is president of Bigger Pie Forum and the Institute of Technology Development. He and his family are members of Christ United Church.

In 2014 Ashby ran for and was elected as Councilman for Ward I in Jackson, MS, where he continues to serve.
