George E. Horn is a seasoned fire service professional with 21 years of dedicated service to the Jackson Fire Department. In his current role as Division Chief of Training, Chief Horn oversees the development and implementation of training programs, ensuring the department’s personnel are equipped with the skills and knowledge to serve the community effectively. With over 3,000 hours of hands-on training and instruction, he has become a respected leader in the field.
In addition to his work with the Jackson Fire Department, Chief Horn is an adjunct instructor for both the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security and the Mississippi State Fire Academy, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of first responders.
Outside of his career, Chief Horn is a devoted husband to his wife, Tessa Horn, with whom he has shared 20 years of marriage. Together, they have a 14-year-old son, Braxton Horn. Above all, Chief Horn has committed his life to his faith, his family, and the service of the Jackson Fire Department. His dedication to public safety, education, and community is unwavering, making him a vital member of both his department and his community.
