Deputy Chief of Patrol Operations
Deputy Chief Tiny Harris is a 20-year veteran of the Jackson Police Department. He has served as a patrolman, mounted officer, detective, and sergeant. As a patrolman, Harris was a field training officer who worked routine patrol and was assigned to various task force details. As a detective, he worked in Vice & Narcotics of Major Investigation. As a Sergeant, Harris served as a Patrol Sergeant at Precinct Two and D.A.R.T. (Direct Action Response Team). Presently, Tiny T. Harris is the Deputy Chief of Patrol Operation where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Patrol Division: Precinct One, Precinct Two, Precinct Three, Precinct Four, Traffic Unit, DUI (Driving Under Influence), D.A.R.T. (Direct Action Response Team), Mounted Unit, Parking Enforcement/Downtown Patrol, Reserve Officers, and School Crossing Guards.
