All neighborhood associations within the City of Jackson are encouraged to register their organization via this online platform. Even if you have registered in the past, you must register online via the OpenGov portal. If you have submitted a hardcopy referral form in the past and received a registration number, it is vitally important that you register online so that a new registration number can be assigned to your organization.

The City of Jackson’s City Council has allocated funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to fund the NSD’s Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP) which is designed to stimulate and enhance opportunities for neighborhood associations to address community concerns and/or special needs. Online registration is a prerequisite if your organization decides to apply for grant funding via the Neighborhood Services Division (NSD).

Each organization has to provide the boundaries for the neighborhood that form a closed configuration. If there are multiple streets that make up a boundary, be sure and list all streets. For instance, if the northern boundary has three streets that connect (i.e., Maple, St. John, & Lake Rd.) then all three streets should be listed on the boundary for the North.

A map of the neighborhood should be uploaded as well. If crude hand drawings of the neighborhood are submitted, please reach out to the NSD manager for assistance.

Please answer each question in its entirety and provide all information requested. You will be notified once your application has been reviewed and accepted. When your application has been approved, you will be given some resources to help guide and structure your organization. Please print the Certificate of Registration for your records. You will find your new registration number on this document.
