How do I register to vote?

You can register to vote at your Circuit Clerk’s office, Municipal Clerk’s office, when you get your driver’s license at the Department of Public Safety, or by mail. For more information, contact the Elections Hotline at 1-800-829-6786.

The Public Works Department contributes to enhancing the quality of life of the citizens of Jackson and visitors through environmentally sensitive and cost effective sustainable infrastructure investment; and by providing high quality service delivery to facilitate public health, safety, environmental stewardship and economic growth.

What does the Personnel Management Department do?

The Personnel Management Department provides a comprehensive program of support for city departments, employees, and the public by implementing human resources policies and practices based on fairness and equality.

What does the Parks & Recreation Department do?

The Parks and Recreation Department enhances the physical and recreational needs of the public by enhancing the quality of life of our patrons and promoting positive, recreational programming through coaching, teaching, mentoring, preserving, protecting, and enhancing its park lands and public green space.
