The City of Jackson is currently awaiting quotes from additional vendors to ensure we get the best pricing and least disruptive timeline regarding Thalia Mara Hall. We will continue to publish weekly updates as additional developments play out.

The scheduling below was based on the availability of the involved parties:

  3. 8/1: Turnkey recommended a larger remediation company for commercial spaces.
  4. 8/1: A larger remediation company (Belfor) advised testing by an independent certified hygienist (CTEH).
  5. 8/9: Hygienic testing was conducted by CTEH.
  6. 8/14: CTEH’s Hygienist report was received and shared with the internal team.
  7. 8/19: There was a walkthrough with remediation team/contractors for scope assessment.
  8. 9/4: The scope assessment document and cost estimate was received from Belfor.
  9. 9/6: The new chiller order is completed and shipping is scheduled.
  10. 9/11: Site evaluation with two additional remediation companies to obtain quote comparisons.

Next Steps:

  1. Quote comparisons for remediation are happening now. We expect to receive remaining quotes in the coming week.
  2. So far, the remediation timelines that have been given are between 4 to 8 weeks.
