(Jackson, Miss.) – Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba is joining seven fellow mayors across the metro Jackson area to raise food items for the Mississippi food pantry Extra Table. The Mayor is asking residents to donate the food item he has been given – peanut butter – to several locations. He is optimistic Jackson residents will again show their charitable spirit in this fun competition between cities.

The food drive is now underway and will extend to Thursday, March 1. 

Peanut butter can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Corner Market, 1220 E. Northside Drive 
  • Kroger – 4910 Interstate 55 North
  • JPD Precinct 4 – 4940 Old Canton Rd. 
  • JFD Fire Station 20 – 4445 Medgar Evers Blvd.
  • Fire Station 23 – 2640 Raymond Rd. 
  • Fire Station 28 – 611 Terry Rd. 
  • VFW Post 9832 – 4610 Sunray Drive
