Recently Damaged and Repaired Traffic Signals Intersection
- University Blvd at Florence Ave – flashing due to south bound 3 sections being hit (Replacements are ready to be install, Signals need to be raised to prevent future damage.
(Repaired by Contractor/In-House Staff) - University Blvd at U.S. 80- flashing due to controller issues after being hit by lightning and lightning arrestor replacement (Testing controller trying to get it back online)
(Repaired by Contractor/ In-House Staff) - Bailey Ave at Medical Mall – flashing due to old transit cabinet needs replaced (pedestal mounted) (Repaired by Contractor)
- Northside Dr. at California Ave – flashing due to old transit cabinet needs replaced (pedestal mounted) (Repaired by Contractor)
- Pascagoula St. at Roach St. – flashing due to bad controller (Replacement ordered and we are waiting on shipment from Temple) (Repaired by In-House Staff)
- Terry Road at McDowell Road – flashing due to electrical issues. Entergy will check this location for voltage irregularity. (In House Staff/Entergy Repaired A Broken Neutral Wire)
(3 section signal was hit and replaced last week) - West St. at Mayes St. – flashing due to westbound 5 section being hit (Replacement ready to be installed) (Repaired by Contractor)
- Robinson Road at Rose St. – flashing due to old transit cabinet (pedestal mounted)
(Repaired by Contractor) - Oak Forest Dr. at Cooper Road – dark due to electrical fire in cabinet (ground mounted stop signs out) (This intersection is a total rebuild due to fire damage.) (Contractor Will Repair)(We are in the Reconstruction Planning Phase)
- Ellis Ave at Jesse Drake – flashing due to old transit cabinet and wiring issues. (pole mounted)
(The traffic signal heads at this intersection will be removed to allow traffic to flow on Bobby Rush Blvd and stop signs will be installed on Jesse Drakes and the strip mall exit) - Terry Road at Elton Road – The intersection was destroyed by 18 wheelers (Lewis Electric will start rebuild it this week. Entergy and the city will install taller pole to mount the signals and wires higher.) (Repaired by Contractor) ( Southbound 5 section signal was installed last week)
- Briarwood at N. State Street Cabinet damaged over the 4th of July holiday.
(Repaired by Contractor) - Hanging Moss at Forest Ave – Replace controller and replace damaged 5 section signal
(Repaired by Contractor/In-House Crew) - Cooper Road at Wheatley Street- Two 3 section signals damaged by a large vehicle.
(Repaired by Contractor) - Briarwood west of Chilli’s Restaurant – Voltage regulation issue (Repaired by Contractor)
- Northside Dr. at Kirkwood Dr. – Repairing damaged Warning Approach Flashers system (Repaired by Contractor)
- West Street at Silas Brown Street – Repair controller and replaced damaged 3 section signal heads (Repaired by In- House Crew)
- State Street at Pearl Street- On Friday the intersection experienced wiring issues in the mast arm cause intersection to go into flash mode on Friday August 9, 2024 (Repaired by Contractor)
- Bailey Ave at Jennings – This intersection was hit by a vehicle late Monday August 19, 2024 causing the intersection to go dark. (Repair by Contractor on Wednesday August 21, 2024)
- McDowell Road at Brookwood Dr. – On Friday August 23, 2024 a pedestrian vehicle snagged a hanging AT&T wire pulling it, causing it to damage 3 traffic signal heads. We installed a four way sign at the intersection and the signals went into flash mode. (Contractor has scheduled repairs for Monday August 26, 2024)
- Pearl Street at Jefferson Street – The concrete traffic signal pole at the eastside of the intersection was hit around 6 or 7am on Friday September 5, 2024 by a Holmes Logistics Semi truck. (Contractor will Repair)
- Gallatin Street at the Viaduct – The warning flashers system at the location are damaged. (In-House Staff will Repair)
