Robert Elbert Jr.
Born and raised in Jackson, MS, Robert Lee Elbert Jr serves as a Division Chief in the Emergency Services Division. He was born October 2, 1980 to Robert and Mary Elbert. He is an alumni of the mighty Lanier High School Bulldogs and attended Jackson State University. Chief Elbert started his career with the Jackson Fire Department in December 2002 where he excelled through the ranks quickly, earning the respect of his peers and community. During his tenure with the Jackson Fire Department Chief Elbert has earned numerous certifications and awards including Hazmat tech, Emergency Medical Technician , 2020 First Responder of the year for the Jackson Fire Department , 2021 Firefighter of the year awarded by First Responders of Mississippi and The Star of Life. He has been married to his wife Centeria Elbert for over 15 years and is a proud father of 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, one being a current firefighter with the Jackson Fire Department (Robert Lee Elbert III)
