Kevin Parkinson has years of experience as a teacher and principal in traditional district and public charter schools, as well as with educational nonprofit organizations. He has also served on the Mississippi Department of Education’s Principal Advisory Council and has led hundreds of students on service trips to dozens of cities throughout the southeast. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in public school leadership from Columbia University. He is the author of the Teachers Decide weekly newsletter and specializes in the intersection of decision science and K-12 education. Kevin lives with his wife, three kids, and dog, and he enjoys running, tattoos, audiobooks, being outdoors, and good food.
