Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP)

MSYEP prepares tomorrow’s workforce by employing youth each summer in meaningful work-based learning experiences across city agencies and private businesses. The 6–8 week program helps youth aged 16–24 develop leadership, communication, financial, and workplace skills.

What Participants Receive:

● Paid work experience (up to 20 hours per week)

● Workforce readiness opportunities

● Mentorship from community professionals

Youth must complete an application and participate in an interview process. The program culminates in a recognition ceremony and includes resume development, soft-skills training, and exposure to career pathways.
