The Planning & Development Department helps shape the future of our city. We work to make sure neighborhoods, businesses, and public spaces grow in a smart and safe way. Our team looks at how land is used, where buildings go, and how new projects fit into our city’s plan. We help make sure that as Jackson grows, we keep things balanced, like housing, schools, jobs, and parks.
