GIS Map Requests

The City of Jackson provides Geographic Information System (GIS) maps to support residents, businesses, and community partners in accessing reliable location-based information.

Available Maps

Commonly requested maps include:

  • Zoning districts
  • City Council wards
  • Neighborhood associations
  • Water and sewer service areas
  • Parks and public facilities
  • Property boundaries (tax parcels)

Follow below steps to submit a GIS Map Request

Step 1.   Create a Opengov account at Home – City of Jackson, MS

Step 2.  Search GIS Map Request

Step 3. Click Apply Online tab.

Please include:

  • The type of map you are requesting

  • The location or area of interest (address, parcel ID, or neighborhood)

  • The purpose of your request (e.g., business license application, planning project, community research)

  • Step 4: Complete the steps and submit.

Processing Time

  • Standard requests are usually processed within 5–7 business days.

  • Large or specialized requests may take longer, depending on staff availability.
